I am guessing you haven't watched the earlier seasons of Las Vegas then. Vanessa Holt was the Croupier of the Montecito in the first couple of seasons. She is played by the lovely Marsha Thomason of Manchester. She has been more recently seen in episodes of Lost.
I haven't actually seen Las Vegas but I did google it and now I know what you're talking about.

Well I had blood in my eye for getting back at them Spurs. But it seems that they aren't up to the challenge of coming for the mollywhopping they so richly deserve. But the Flakers are one of the other three traditional enemies around these parts. Chicago, and the Helltics being the others.
