You know sometimes how you make plans to do things and it don't workout? Well I had some plans to surprise all of you.
See I was gonna kinda defect to the Wordpress way of life. But I couldn't make my page look as cool with them layouts of theirs. And they disabled much of the good stuff I like to add to my page. They suck for that.
Then I was gonna make the jump to Wordpress by self publishing. That way I would have been able to use the good features of Wordpress and have all of the cool features that Blogger has. But alas, the trial attempt made my head hurt slightly. And I don't really have the chips to purchase the web hosting and domain name. So I ain't defected yet.
But don't be surprised if you have to find me at Dyssturbed.net or something like that. I will of course keep you all posted on that...

If that means you're going to post more, I say move, move, move...lol.
Luh you bruh BUT I gotta second Aretha's emotion!!! LOL
i wont even complain about your lack of posting, since i've been slacking myself! lol
wordpress IS very limited when it comes to layouts though.
Well, we will be here!
Yeah, wordpress sucks when it comes to layouts. That's why I made my own.

ave a wordpress blog but I don't want to use my personal blog to promote some of my various online money making projects. Once you get it all figured out please share it with me. I want exactly what you laid out...wordpress/blogger combo on my own domain. How much does that run?
@ Aretha - LMAO!!! I guess I would post more if I was actually paying for it.
@ Ms. B. - Et tu?
@ Diva - Yeah. Layouts. Added features. I have been looking at the stuff that is removed when I import to my wordpress blog. Only keeps text and pictures. Sux! But I understand that those features are disabled to prevent problems with the server. That is one of the cool features with the WP software, you can enable and disable what you want when you want.
@ Bootydo - You just better!!! So? Red shot glasses for the Superbowl too?
@ Minnie - Yeah. I might have to get re-interested in XML again. If I could figure out how to resize the various windows, I would be skrait!!!!
@ Tippi tha Newbie - Welcome! And I have found that the web hosting is not all that expensive on a month to month basis. But they want you to pay by the year or two or ten. I have seen stuff as low as $6.95 per month for web hosting services. The services vary by company. You can link to a few through WordPress.com. The WordPress software of course is free. I have also run into a decent site that is a webhost and you can build your web page right on their site using their software. Check out Squarespace
Whatever domain name you're thinking of don't look for it at one of the registrar sites. They keep records of domain names people are looking at it and if enough people look at the name you want someone will snatch it. Just type potential names into the search bar to see if they exist.
Wordpress.com blogs have some bland templates. You can petition them to add a particular theme you've seen around though.
Wordpress.org (the self publishing option) is the way I went. There's a bit of a learning curve if you've never had a host but the amount of options you have is well worth the time. However, sometimes when you have a problem doing something help isn't always forthcoming or timely.
If it's your first time dealing with a host I'd recommend paying monthly. If they suck you only lost a month and you can pack up and go instead of having to deal with them for a year. Once you get a feel for them, if you like them you can usually switch to a quarterly or yearly plan.
I've checked out Squarespace before. They seem kind of cool and there are plenty of discount codes to be found for them.
Second,
I need to get in touch with you.
