A Favor If You Please

Hey fam!

I need a little favor from you all. Have a look at the flyer above (click to enlarge) and give me your critiques. Specifically:

  • How are the prices?
  • Language?
  • Formatting?
  • Does it generate interest for you?
  • Any suggestions?
  • Anything else that comes to mind...
That isn't the actual name, but this is the internet. Can't be too careful. The part about the "no junk" makes more sense with the actual name. Of course if you already know my name then it might make sense to anyone born before 1980. Maybe...

I am gonna shut up now and let you guys talk. Cause don't you hate it when somebody asks you something and then keeps running off at the mouth (or keyboard) like I am now?

Thinking about the people I know that sell cakes, I think the prices are in range of others.

The cartoon characters are throwing me off. I would remove them.

Now where can I get one of those cakes? lol

I get the "junk" reference. its cool.

I don't know about prices, but it sounds delicious... also the banana pudding. "not your mama" should have some punctuation like "Mama's" in my opinion.

I agree with Southern...the cartoon pics are throwing me off - maybe if they were smaller and just closer to the name of the company???

Also, I think you should include pics of everything or nothing.

Font for the price listing seems too big or too bold (it's the same as the "price list" title) but there should probably be some kind of distinction...that's a small thing, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Make cookies the last item on the price list, then add the assorted flavors under it, so it's all together.

I'd also give scrumptious details of all items. For instance...what in the world is a five flavor bundt cake??? Must google that.

Signed,
The very critical Virgo (hope not too critical though)

Oh and the prices seem decent...I actually think the cake prices might be a little low. Folks in NY sell cake for $5/$6 per SLICE so a whole cake is over fifty bucks...but again, that's NY.

@ Southern Bootydooty - I will have to send you a flyer and maybe a sample or two sometime. Too much with the little bakers huh?

@ Rashan - Punctuation error, aye! No opinion at all on the pricing though?

@ The Hypercritical Virgo -
So you are saying more product less clip art?
Smaller font and a dot leader with the prices?
Gotcha on the item grouping.
Descriptions? May need a magnifying glass for those...

No you are not too critical. Wouldn't have asked if I didn't want the answers.

I could tell ya what is in the crack cake... er... Five Flavor, but then I would have to kill ya.
Might have to e-mail you a slice. Googling it will likely give you many different recipes that are all different from Wifey's specialty.

DAMN!!! Five bucks a slice? Are you serious? We could clean up on the volume from the price undercutting alone! Nah! Remind me to "adjust" for NYC market selling... LOL!

For you too. How big would you expect the cookies to be in a dozen for the price listed?

I would also list all the flavors so if one caught my eye I'd call.

The prices are "normal"

I'd get a website up and have the flyer replicate the flavor of the site complete with pix and price info.

The prices are on point.

Thought about doing slices?

Thought about facebooking, twittering or myspacing the business?

Y'all need a newsletter... Two Words: Constant Contact.

All y'all need is one good social function or a church gathering with product and a revamped flyer...

Also, I'm buying. I needs a menu.

what's up You GRADUATE!? I agree with Diva and Booty Doo! Plus change out the "w/". It's distracting. Charge a little more for the cakes, ! Charge a little more for the cakes!

I think it's a GREAT idea!
